What's up gang it's me Bryce. Recently me and my wife bought some thin mint girl scout cookies and I have been going crazy on them. I love thin mints.

I started a secret new video

I'll be honest, I don't know if anyone actually reads this blog or looks at this website at all, probably no one even knows about the updates on my Dracula video that I've mentioned in previous entries, but progress on it is still coming along. However, because it's taking so long I started a new much shorter and unrelated video that I'll hopefully be uploading soon in the mean time. I don't really wanna talk about what it is and just upload when it's ready.

The Beyond

Last night I watched a film called The Beyond (1981) with a friend of mine and I thought that it was kind of crazy bad. That might be an unpopular opinion, and I'm not saying that it like wasn't worth watching, I did enjoy my time with it, I just couldn't take it seriously. I gave it a four on my Movie Ratings list. I wrote down some of my thoughts on it on the page for the film itself. But basically I just feel like it had that kind of bad 80s VFX gory look which is fine there's nothing wrong with that, but I just really don't like the way that every scene with that gore in it felt so incredibly long and drawn out. Gory movies aren't my favorite in the world, I actually kind of dislike them it's just gross to me, so maybe it's just a me problem and they weren't actually that long and it was a reasonable length. But I dunno, it felt like every time it happened it was legit just like "okay let's show this guy getting eaten by spiders for like 10 whole minutes that'd be so cool".

Some other stuff I've been thinking about or doing lately

Today is March 20th, and a review I wrote for Provo Music Magazine was finally published today. I don't remember when I sent it, it had to go through some edits and changes so it was a bit of a process, but it's been at least a month now. But it's finally published, you should go read it if you'd like. It's not here but if you click the PMM link above it'll take you to a page featuring links to everything I've written for them, so that you can read it on their website. I don't want to have that writing published on mine, that'd be weird :).

I've been thinking about the recent controversy that happened with Firefox lately, and how I just think it's kinda crazy. That seemed like a pretty huge privacy concern but I kind of feel like I'm of the mind that it's not really worth my time to be concerned with the stuff Mozilla does I guess? From my understanding this kind of thing has happened several times in the past, and it usually ends up being pretty okay. I also just kind of feel like no matter what they do it won't ever be as bad as Google Chrome and other Chromium based browsers, I trust Mozilla more than Google. I've been using Zen Browser for several months now and I absolutely love it, I think unless something like super crazy horrible happens I'm just gonna stick with it for as long as it is maintained.

Anyways, I think that's all for now. Send me some film and music reccs in my Chatbook, I need more to add to my list. Delete your Twitter account forever if you have one, stop giving Elon money I'm begging you. I've had the song Quiet on Set by Remi Wolf stuck in my head for the past day or so, I love the Neptunes style production it's so fire. Bye
